Effect categories
What every skill actually does — and who does it. 31 categories read one by one from the game's 456 skills.
Attack
Damage83 · 49Hits one target, almost always the enemy in front. The most common effect in the game.Area damage54 · 29Hits several enemies at once. The damage is split between them, so it is not automatically better.Targeted damage38 · 39Picks who gets hit: lowest health, highest health, the back line, a summon. It ignores the queue.Counterattack20 · 29Hits back at whoever attacked, or whoever took an ally down. It only pays if the character gets hit.Execute5 · 0Kills outright once the target is weak enough, without chewing through the rest of its health.Multi-attack29 · 21Attacks more than once in the same turn, multiplying everything tied to attacking.Splash3 · 7Part of the hit splashes onto the other enemies beyond the target.Shield break6 · 15Strips the target's shield before hitting. Against someone who turtles, that beats raw damage.
Damage over time
Control
Stun29 · 8Takes the target's turn away. One turn less for the enemy beats almost any amount of damage.Silence1 · 10Shuts the target's skill down. Against someone who depends on one skill, that is the whole fight.Weaken20 · 6Drops the enemy's power or health instead of adding to your own.Steal17 · 21Takes from the enemy and gives it to you: power, shield, or the skill itself.
Defense and recovery
Heal45 · 34Gives health back. Watch out for the Heal family on the other side, which does it better.Shield54 · 24Temporary health on top of health. It soaks the hit before health is touched.Barrier12 · 26Blocks whole hits until it breaks, and plenty of effects fire the moment it does.Thorns13 · 0Returns damage automatically to whoever touches you. No trigger needed.Dodge15 · 5A chance the hit simply misses — and some skills fire on a dodge.Deflect8 · 10Sends the hit back instead of soaking it.Resistance7 · 2Reduces or ignores damage, burn and poison.Cleanse10 · 1Clears the bad effects off your own team.Revive5 · 1Brings back whoever went down.
Support and utility
Ally buff62 · 60Strengthens someone else on the team, not yourself. It is what makes a team worth more than five loose characters.Self-buff70 · 111Strengthens the character itself — power, health, shield, whatever it is.Precision9 · 19Raises the chance to land the hit, and cuts the other side's dodge.Initiative13 · 4Acts first. On the opening, whoever moves first decides the round.Summon16 · 16Puts another body on the field. A summon soaks the enemy's aim and hits on its own.Kamikaze2 · 1Sacrifices itself to deliver the effect. Once, and that is the end of it.Utility10 · 11Everything that fits no box: charge, lottery, bond, domain, transfer.
The two numbers on each card are character skills and monster skills — the second one is what can land on you. A skill lands in as many categories as it earns: dealing damage and setting something on fire are two different things. The numbers are the game's own, at the skill level picked above.
